Story HighlightsWhy Highlights matter
Highlights are selected Stories saved to a profile so visitors can see them after the normal Story window. They work like a compact menu for your most useful information.
Choose categories with purpose
Useful categories include About, Products, FAQ, Reviews, Travel and Behind the Scenes. Choose names visitors immediately understand instead of vague abbreviations.
Designing cover images
Highlight covers appear inside small circles. Pick simple shapes, strong contrast and a consistent color family. Avoid tiny text or overly detailed photographs that cannot be recognized at a small size.
Keep content current
Review Highlights regularly and remove outdated prices or announcements. Arrange collections in the order that makes the most sense for new visitors.
Visibility
Highlights still follow Instagram privacy and audience controls. Saving a Story in a Highlight does not unlock content from a private account.
Private account access, anonymous Story playback and HD media downloads are not available. The profile finder opens Instagram's original account page.
