Editorial Policy
Last updated: 5 November 2026
Guides on IGPVSTORY are published under the byline IGPVSTORY Editorial Team. That is a shared team name, not a list of individual authors. We do this so readers can trust the process even when people on the team change.
What we write about
We cover Instagram stories, highlights, profile pictures, downloads, privacy settings and troubleshooting for anonymous viewers. We do not publish rumours about upcoming Instagram features, fabricated "hacks" for private accounts, or paid product placements dressed up as reviews.
How a guide is produced
- Draft against the live product. Steps are checked in a current browser against the IGPVSTORY tools and, where relevant, the Instagram app or website.
- Say clearly what is impossible. If something cannot be done (for example viewing a private account), the guide says so instead of promising a workaround.
- Review for accuracy and tone. A second person on the team reads for factual errors, broken links and over-claiming.
- Publish with dates. Every post shows a published or last-updated date at the top. Schema markup includes the same dates and the Editorial Team as author.
Updates
When Instagram changes a feature that affects a guide, we revise the article and refresh the updated date. Older advice that no longer works is rewritten or removed rather than left up to collect traffic.
Corrections
If you spot a mistake, email info@igpvstory.com with the URL and what is wrong. We correct factual errors and note significant changes in the updated date.
Independence
IGPVSTORY is not affiliated with Instagram or Meta. Comparison pages describe what we could verify ourselves. We do not invent statistics, user counts or testimonials. More about the project is on the about page; safety commitments are on Safety & privacy.
