How IGPVSTORY Works
IGPVSTORY is a browser-based Instagram Story Viewer. You type a public username, we ask a licensed data provider for that account's public stories, and we show the result on the page. Nothing more complicated than that.
What happens when you press View
- You paste a username or profile link. We strip
@symbols and tracking parameters and check that the handle looks valid. - Our edge server asks a data provider. The request goes to a third-party API that returns public Instagram media. We never log into Instagram ourselves and we never ask for your password.
- Only public content is returned. Private accounts get a clear notice. Close Friends stories are never included because they are not public.
- Results appear on the page. Photos and videos from the last 24 hours show up with a Download button. Highlights and profile pictures work the same way on their own pages.
What we store
We do not create accounts for you and we do not keep a history of the usernames you searched. Theme preference stays in your browser's local storage. Public results may be cached at the edge for a few minutes so the same search is faster for the next visitor. Details are in the privacy policy.
What we will not do
- Unlock private accounts or Close Friends stories
- Ask for Instagram credentials, SMS codes or recovery emails
- Install an app, browser extension or "human verification" survey on your device
- Notify the account owner — there is no Instagram account attached to the request
