Safety & Privacy
Last updated: 5 November 2026
An Instagram Story Viewer is only useful if it is honest about privacy. This page explains what IGPVSTORY does and does not do with your data, and how to stay safe when you use any third-party viewer.
What we never ask for
- Your Instagram username and password
- Two-factor codes, recovery emails or phone numbers
- Access to your contacts, camera or microphone
- Payment details — the tools are free
If another site asks for those, leave. Our how it works page describes the real request path.
What the account owner can see
Instagram only adds logged-in accounts to a story's viewer list. Because IGPVSTORY does not use an Instagram account, you do not appear there and the owner is not notified. Anonymous views also do not increase the view count the owner sees in the app.
What stays private on your side
- Searches are not stored as a personal history
- We do not sell browsing data to advertisers
- Theme choice stays in local storage on your device
- HTTPS is required for every page and API call
Full legal detail is in the privacy policy.
Responsible use
Anonymous viewing is a privacy tool for you, not a licence to harass anyone. Do not use IGPVSTORY to stalk, dox or republish someone's content without permission. Downloads are for personal reference. Creators own their work — see the terms and DMCA pages.
